Use case: WordPress
Cookie consent for WordPress
The GetCookies WordPress plugin (WordPress 5.8 and later) adds the consent banner and automatic script blocking to your site, while scans, consent logs and settings live in the GetCookies dashboard. It works the same way for WooCommerce stores.
Set it up
1. Create a free account and add your domain.
2. Download the WordPress plugin from Domains, Integrations. Your domain ID is already in it.
3. Upload it under Plugins, Add New, Upload Plugin, and activate it.
4. Run a scan and review the cookie categories. The full walkthrough is in the WordPress setup guide.
What you get
Automatic blocking
Known trackers from themes and plugins are held back until consent.
Google Consent Mode v2
Consent signals for GA4 and Google Ads on Pro and above.
Consent logs
Proof of every decision, exportable as CSV on Pro and above.
Several WordPress sites
Manage all of them from one dashboard within your plan's domain limit.
When a WordPress-native plugin may suit you better
GetCookies is a hosted service: settings and logs live in our dashboard, not in wp-admin. If you want everything inside WordPress and only run WordPress sites, plugins such as Complianz or Borlabs Cookie may suit you better; see GetCookies vs Complianz and GetCookies vs Borlabs.
Try GetCookies on your own site
Start on the Free plan: one domain, a cookie scan and a consent banner, no credit card required. Upgrade only when you need more.
