How to switch from Borlabs Cookie
There is no automatic importer: GetCookies does not read Borlabs Cookie's settings or the consent it stored. Switching is a single deploy, and most of the work is checking your scan results:
- Export your Borlabs Cookie consent records before you cancel. GetCookies does not import them, and you may need them as proof of past consent.
- Create a GetCookies account, add your domain and run a scan. Review the category of every cookie it finds.
- Configure the banner: layout, text and languages, plus geo-targeting and Google Consent Mode v2 on the Pro plan and above.
- Deactivate the Borlabs Cookie plugin and install the GetCookies WordPress plugin, downloaded from your dashboard. See the WordPress setup guide.
- Open your site in a private window, decline, and check that nothing non-essential fires before consent. Then cancel Borlabs Cookie.
